James “Doc” Armstrong, 71, of Menominee, Mich., passed away peacefully on Saturday June 14, 2025, at Froedtert Holy Family Memorial Hospital in Manitowoc, Wis. He was born on May 30, 1954 in Marinette, Wis. to the late James and Lillian (Parkansky) Armstrong.
James married Cindy Kamin on September 3, 1983 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Menominee. He worked at Chevalier Motors, Nestegg Marine, Gomskes, and own his own business named JJ’s Shell Service. He was the President of Interstate Stock and Customs Car Club for several years. James loved drag racing at WIR in Kaukauna, Wis. with so many of his friends. He also enjoyed classic cars, beautiful summer nights by the fire with a beer and hotdog, and watching Packers and Brewers games. James loved his morning walks with his black lab, Harley.
James is survived by his wife, Cindy; daughter, Christina (Brian) Werner; sister, Karen (Mike) Linsmeier; brother, Mark (Laurie) Armstrong; forever friend, Harley; best friend, Howard Nortch; sister-in-law, Kathy Casperson; brothers-in-law: Dick (Sharon) Kamin and Pat (Kathy) Kamin; along with many other nieces; nephews; family; and friends.
James was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Robert Armstrong; one sister, Linda Lemire; and friend, Fran Pelon.
Visitation for James will be held at Cadieu Funeral Home on Thursday, June 19, 2025 beginning at 2 p.m. until time of sharing at 4 p.m. Burial for James will take place at Riverside Cemetery.
