Marinette & Menominee Amateur Radio Club
Regular Monthly Meeting Minutes
Thursday February 9, 2023
Meeting was called to order at 7:01 pm at inVenture North in Marinette by club vice president Dan Nyman, W9DLN.
Motion to approve the December meeting minutes was made by Steve Mellenthin, K9STT and seconded by W9DLN. The motion was accepted and carried.
Correspondence: A request was received from the UP Ham Directory for club updates. Darrell Pentico of Crivitz (715) 757-3142 has some 30+ year old Yaesu equipment for sale.
Treasures Report: Mike Lemke, KD8FUE reported a balance at the end of January of $6,300.48.
Committee Reports
Property Report: None
ARES Report: KD8FUE reported Skip Kwasneski, KW5AS is a new member. The group is starting Winlink exercises on Sundays. Work on the communications trailer will start in spring.
Fundraiser Report: Nothing to report.
DAR report: KD8FUE reported the DAR radio room will not be opening at this time. The Engineer that was going to volunteer in the radio room has backed out. Contact KD8FUE if you are interested in volunteering at the DAR radio room.
Yacht Report: Ed Engleman, KG8CX reported they have gained 5 new members for the year. They have a youth member that is teaching CW and another youth member putting on a presentation at HamCation in Orlando.
Webmaster Report: K9STT reported he will be updating the emergency communications page to better cover ARES activities.
ARRL Report: K9STT reported we are current with ARRL.

Wednesday Edition Net - K9STT is recruiting net control operators for the Wednesday net. If you are interested contact K9STT.
2023 Club Goals - Ideas for 2023 included more programs/presentations and CW.

Announcements
QSO Today Virtual Ham Expo will be held March 25th and 26th.
W9DLN has a 50’ tower for sale.
Motion to adjourn the meeting was made by K9STT and seconded by Paul Sorensen, NS8V. The motion was accepted and carried. Meeting ended at 7:49 pm
