Regular Monthly Meeting Minutes
Thursday December 11, 2025
Meeting was called to order at 7:03 pm at inVenture North in Marinette by club President Jim Callow, K8IR.
Motion to approve the November meeting minutes was made by Robert Juhlin, W8AWF and seconded by Tim Mellenthin, WN6KHG. The motion was accepted and carried.
Treasures Report: NS8V reported the recent income and expenditures. The ending balance for the month of November was $7,057.61. Motion to accept the treasures report was made by Doug Dooley, KD8OVR and seconded by WN6KHG. The motion was accepted and carried.
Correspondence: The FCC has allocated additional 60 meter privileges from 5351.5 kHz to 5366.5 kHz with a maximum allowed ERP of 9.15 watts.
Committee Reports
ARES Report: W8AWF had nothing new to report. The communications trailer was moved to a different location at the ISD building for the winter.
Yacht Report: No report
Old Business
After Christmas Party: Mike Lemke, KD8FUE arranged the after Christmas party for January 17th at the Little River Country Club. The cost will be $26 per person, and the club will pick up half the cost. Motion to have the club pick up half of the meal cost for the after Christmas party was made by W8AWF and seconded by NS8V. The motion was accepted and carried.
Ham Radio Classes: The target date for the ham radio classes are February 4, 11, 18, and 25 with the test being held on March 4.
Club Funds: NS8V reviewed CD rates and terms and will report back next month.
Elections: All current club officers are willing to serve an additional term, so it was decided not to put together a committee. If anyone is interested in serving as an officer they can be nominated before the election is held.
Escanaba Link: No update. There is possibly an issue with the repeater on the Escanaba end.
New Business
HAM Breakfast: W8AWF suggested starting a monthly breakfast for club members. He will post an announcement on the website with a tentative start date in February.
Announcements: John Goldschmidt, N9GLT reported that he was contacted by KD8FUE and told the 444.075 repeater was not functioning in the digital mode. He was able to correct the issue and it’s functioning normally again.
Motion to adjourn the meeting was made by NS8V and seconded WN6KHG. The motion was accepted and carried. Meeting ended at 7:41 pm.
