Regular Monthly Meeting Minutes
Thursday October 9, 2025
Meeting was called to order at 7:02 pm at inVenture North in Marinette by club President Jim Callow, K8IR.
Motion to approve the September meeting minutes was made by Paul Sorensen, NS8V and seconded by Tim Mellenthin, WN6KHG. The motion was accepted and carried.
Treasures Report: NS8V reported the recent income and expenditures. The ending balance for the month of September was $6,694.83. Motion to accept the treasures report was made by Mike Sobeck, KD9IGW and seconded by WN6KHG. The motion was accepted and carried.
Correspondence: The Fox Valley Hamfest will be held Sunday November 2, 2025 8:00am - 1:00pm at the Sunnyview Expo Center, 500 E. Cty Rd Y, Oshkosh, WI 54901
Committee Reports
ARES Report: Doug Dooley, KD8OVR and K8IR participated in the fall SET. K8IR was able to make contact with Lansing on 40 meters and KD8OVR worked with eSIMS and Winlink.
Fundraiser: No update.
Yacht Report: Ed Engleman, KG8CX reported they have added 46 new members so far in 2025. He is no longer running the Saturday net over the 147.000 repeater.
Old Business
WIRES-X Link Radio: The Yaesu link radio purchased from KB7KZ has been installed and has been working well.
New Business
Menominee County is in the process of putting up a new website which will include and ARES/RACES section under Emergency Management. Tom Philipps will add contacts to our club in that section. Tom also reported there are no updates on the EOC at the ISD and he is working on a secondary EOC at the Annex in Stephenson.
ARRL Business Reply Mail Account Closure: KD8OVR reported the ARRL will no longer accept mail in VE session documents and will transition to a digital upload only. The government shutdown has halted processing of licenses.

Motion to adjourn the meeting was made by WN6KHG and seconded KD9IGW. The motion was accepted and carried. Meeting ended at 7:27 pm.
