In Memory of Ed Engleman, KG8CX

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our friend and fellow amateur radio operator, Ed Engleman, KG8CX.

Ed was a longtime and active member of our amateur radio community, a dedicated teacher, and a wonderful mentor. Over the years, he introduced many young people to amateur radio, generously sharing his knowledge, enthusiasm, and encouragement with the next generation of hams.

A familiar and friendly voice on the Kandy Net every Sunday night at 7 PM for many years. For a good number of years he ran the YACHT net on the W8PIF repeater with Echolink connected bringing many young hams to the M&M Club's neighborhood. When emergency weather approached, Ed was the voice of the Skywarn Net keeping spotter reports and forwarding them off to the National Weather Service.

Ed touched many lives both in the classroom and through amateur radio, and his friendship and contributions to our club will be deeply missed.

Our thoughts are with Ed’s family, friends, and students during this difficult time.
