Marinette & Menominee Amateur Radio Club
Regular Monthly Meeting Minutes
Thursday May 12, 2022
Meeting was called to order at 7:01 pm at inVenture North in Marinette by Bruce Conover, N9CON.
Motion to approve the April meeting minutes was made by Doug Dooley, KD8OVR and seconded by Tim Mellenthin, WN6KHG. The motion was accepted and carried.
Treasures Report: Mike Lemke, KD8FUE reported a balance at the end of April of $4,929.46.
Correspondence: A thank you letter from inVenture North was received for the donation. The UP repeater coordinating association emailed the club regarding the coordination of the club’s repeaters. Jim Callow, K8IR stated he has submitted the renewal forms for both repeaters.
Committee Reports
Repeater Report: No report
Education and Training: Nothing new to report.
Property Report: N9CON reported everything is up to date. Contact N9CON if you know of an item that is not on the current list.
ARES Report: KD8OVR successfully sent a Winlink message to lower Michigan.
Trailer Report: No report
Fundraiser Report: No report
DAR report: KD8FUE reported everything is going well. July 14th is community kids day – they would like to have a ham radio demonstration.
Yacht Report: Ed Engleman, KG8CX reported they are holding an EchoLink net 7 days a week.
Webmaster Report: No report
HATT: No report
Old Business
Repeater expansion: Waiting to schedule a visit to the Pinecrest location.
Logging & Heritage Festival fundraiser: The location has been reserved and paid for.
Bylaw changes: Changes to section 5.4 was tabled until June.
Announcements
The club plans to hold a field day event this year. We have permission to use our normal location. Field day is June 25 and 26 this year.
Starting to work on the communications trailer on Wednesday mornings. Anyone available is welcome to show up and assist.
Motion to adjourn the meeting was made by KD8FUE and seconded by KG8CX. The motion was accepted and carried. Meeting ended at 7:39 pm.
