Regular Monthly Meeting Minutes

Thursday November 10, 2022

 

Meeting was called to order at 7:02 pm at inVenture North in Marinette by club president Steve Mellenthin, K9STT.

Motion to approve the October meeting minutes was made by Mike Lemke, KD8FUE and seconded by Bruce Conover, N9CON. The motion was accepted and carried.

Treasures Report: KD8FUE reported a balance at the end of October of $7,194.52. He noted there was a check for $1,500.00 outstanding.

Committee Reports

Property Report: N9CON reported the inventory is current. Need to go through the communications trailer at some point.

ARES Report: KD8FUE reported they are currently working on getting TexCom set up and functioning. He will need to get all ARES members in the system.

Fundraiser Report: Nothing to report.

DAR report: The DAR radio room is shut down until there are volunteers available.

Yacht Report: Ed Engleman, KG8CX reported about 58 new members have joined this year. They are getting most of their members by word of mouth.

Webmaster Report: K9STT reported the website has running fine and there has been no issues.

ARRL Report: K9STT reported we are current with ARRL. He will do an update in January.

New Business

K9STT is looking for volunteers to serve on the Nominating Committee. Shannon Lefebvre, KD9RYZ volunteered to serve on the committee.

Old Business

444.075 Amplifier: K9STT reported there was no new information at this time.

Communications Trailer Mast: Jim Callow, K8IR reported he spoke to Gary and he plans to be in the area sometime in the not-so-distant future and will deliver the mast to K8IR.

Property Audit: K9STT reported there hasn’t been a meeting held yet. The audit should be completed by the first of the year.

Announcements

Doug Dooley, KD8OVR reported there was a VE session held last month. Also, he is thinking about holding ham radio classes the first part of 2023. Contact KD8OVR if you are interested in helping with the radio classes.

KD8FUE reported he is working on the after Christmas party. He is looking at holding it at the Whistle Stop north of Menominee. He should have a date by the December Meeting.

Motion to adjourn the meeting was made by N9CON and seconded by KD9RYZ. The motion was accepted and carried.
